Fun...Fun...Fun..

Hanky panky

Rhea has been upto some hanky panky. Remember I told you she has been refining her roll over act since Monday. Well truth be told she hasn’t done her wonderful act for me till now. Aji caught it all on tape but I want to see the action as it happens and she isn’t obliging. Maybe she is planning a big preview for me. I’m keeping my fingers, legs and all my appendages crossed for that magic moment.Until then the waiting continues...

Update - Above is when I caught her in the act...

Sean in choo choo wonderland

I think sean’s philosophy is that its never too early for him to introduce his baby sister to his wonderful world of trains and trucks. It seems like he thinks that time is running out and he doesn’t want her to miss out on any of the fun he is having. So he has taken it upon himself and is wasting no time introducing Rhea to Thomas the tank engine and Fire trucks and Ambulances. Yesterday he placed all his trains around her in a circle. I guess he was thinking that she will have no choice but to be enthralled by the train fence around her. Maybe his persistence will pay off and her first words will be “choo choo” ..only time will tell

Rhea’s first pool getaway

We took Sean to the pool yesterday for the first time this summer. Well, the whole clan packed and went. It was Rhea’s first pool side getaway and she had a lot of fun. She watched cheta from the front row seats by the pool side sipping on her virgin “formulada” (a slight twist to the virgin pina colada- call me for the recipe). Achachan and Mummy got to see our fitness center and aji got his workout done. Next time they can take a plunge into the pool and do a few laps. Sean had a wonderful time playing with the toys and splashing the water at me. On our way out he said that he wants to go to the pool everyday. Maybe I should register him for some swim lessons…

Hello World!

I have been toying with the idea of starting a blog for a while(almost 3 years)...and finally took the plunge into cyber world today. I'm hoping this will be a new way to keep in touch with our friends and family with all that is happening in our neck of the woods.

Where is my Appacha & Ammachi?

Sean has become so close to mummy and achachan now. If he doesnt see them in the family room after he gets home from school - his first question is where is my appacha and ammachi? As soon as he sees them he has this really sly mischevious smile on his face. Same for baby rhea too. As soon as he sees her, he gives her a big hug and squeeze and proclaims "I'm back from school baby". It is such a cute conversation to watch. Conversation i say because Rhea gets so excited seeing her 'cheta' (big brother) she is all smiley.

Rhea is a busy bee these days. She rolled over from back to tummy for the first time on monday, June 26th at 3 months and 2weeks - a tad earlier than her cheta acheived the same milestone. She is at it again everyday and is trying to improve her timing and beating her own personal best record :) She is growing so fast and is it so interesting to see how her personality is evolving everyday. She prefers to be carried in a certain way and always wants us to walk around so she can enjoy the view and see the world around her :) She is such a happy baby and an absolute joy. She rarely fusses and only when she gets really hungry. She loves bath time and is always ready for a splash in the water even if she is hungry or sleepy. She seems most happy and blissful when appacha carries her around.

Guess what sean wants to be when he grows up??? an ASTRONAUT. Aji took him and achachan and mummy to the air and space museum here over the weekend. He had such a great time there. He even took a ride on their space ride simulator. So now he has made up his mind about his future. It is definitely a big diversion from his earlier obsession with 'Thomas the tank engine' and all the different kinds of trucks his favorite being the fire truck.
